Archive vs delete a connection
Spilled gives you two ways to remove a connection from your active list. They are very different.
Archive (safe option):
- Moves the connection to your Archived section
- All entries, scores, and history are preserved
- You can still view everything, just read only
- You cannot add new entries to an archived connection
- You can unarchive anytime to make it active again
Delete (permanent):
- Permanently removes the connection
- Every entry you ever logged for him is gone forever
- This cannot be undone
- There is no recovery, no trash, no undo
- Used when you are truly done and never want to see this data again
When to archive:
- You stopped seeing him but might want to look back at what you logged later
- You are taking a break from tracking but might pick it up again
- You want to declutter the Journal tab without losing the data
When to delete:
- You are sure you never want to see any of this data again
- You want a clean slate
- The history feels like baggage you do not want to carry
Both options are available from inside the connection screen. Archive is the default safe choice. Delete asks for two confirmations because it cannot be undone.
